Summer is here at long last and it is time to head off to camp – the finest camp you could imagine – The Goode Sports Academy. Cue the arrival of children from
around the globe, bringing together a complex mix of personalities, interests, backgrounds and skill sets, not to mention nationalities.
The show focuses on a group of 12 – 13 year olds, who bond through a common liking of all sports in one form or another, but who each have their own individual sporting passions that they are particularly accomplished in. The Academy runs a competitive ‘house’ system – the houses being Virtue, Swift, Prudence, and Dare.
At a pre-assessment stage each one of our stars was appointed as house-captain in their particular discipline, and so, tongue in cheek, they name their gang ‘The Captains of Virtue’. Yes, our characters do realise the sense of fun and irony in the name and don’t take it too seriously.
The comedy and soul of the show primarily stems from the strong relationships between these children and the contrast in the dynamic with other children from outside the group, particularly two main antagonists. Their individual and group relationships with the team coaches, mentors, event experts and multi-national
helpers provides an additional dimension.
Laugh-out-loud friend-based family-friendly animated sit-com for 7-11 year olds, that predominantly targets the 9-11 age group. 52 x 11 minute episodes.
