Pedal Power Pals is set in the fictional town of Great Fontana, where three sibling children love to play with and ride on their anthropomorphic talking trikes - or ‘pedals’ as they are referred to in the show. The sentient nature of the pedals is never questioned by anyone, it’s even accepted as perfectly normal by the adults in the show.

Each of the 52 fun-filled 7 minute stories includes an adventure inspired by an issue that occurs in an introductory scene at home and is solved following a visit to the pedal friendly park, where they encounter other children with various forms of sentient pedals.

The humour derives almost entirely from the pedals and their personalities. The human children may well be the relatable ‘stars’ of the show, but it’s the pedals that steal the show with their funny antics and dialogue.
